The Irish invaded the West Palm Beach Green Market on specific Saturdays in January and February. While patrons from all over the Palm Beaches took in the sights and sounds of the beautiful downtown waterfront, shopped fresh farm fruits and vegetables, and savored fresh baked goods and homemade goodies, Tír na mBláth was on hand to engage and sign up anyone with a love of Irish language, music, dance, history, literature and fine arts.
Our members donated one hour’s time between the hours of 8am to 1pm on any of the given Saturdays for our Green Market booth to meet, greet and promote Tír na mBláth. Musicians and dancers also participated . Volunteers and musicians will be given a custom designed Tír na mBláth t-shirt to wear and to keep.
Remember too, that our objective is that each member have at least one new member join through their personal efforts. The West Palm Beach Green Market provided a relaxed setting for members to easily meet this membership objective. Don’t forget that members also receive quarterly issues of Treoir, the magazine of Comhaltas Ceóltoirí Eireann, the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music.
Our Membership Director, Jeff Haynes, will gladly assist members to meet our goals and help volunteer.
